Have you ever wondered why there is a kinder garden or a primary school within every kilometer or two? We generally find more number of schools in comparison to colleges or universities in our neighboring areas.

In 2009, the Government of India came out with RTE (Right to Education), where children from 6-14 years of age can receive free and compulsory education as a right. With this government came out with a norm of accessibility of school from home that is, looking into the geographical conditions for children of class (1 to 5) school should not be more than 1 km from their neighboring locality and for upper primary (6 to 8) it must be within 3 km. Interesting, isn’t it?
